On Friday 8 May, Campbelltown Catholic Club joined clubs across NSW in taking part in Purple Friday – Clubs Say No to Domestic Violence, a statewide initiative focused on raising awareness and supporting the prevention of Domestic and Family Violence.

Across all our venues, we turned purple for the day. From signage and lighting to purple ribbon pins worn by staff, these small but visible actions were a way of standing together and showing support for people in our community who may be impacted by violence.

As part of the initiative, we donated $1 from every coffee sold to the Campbelltown Domestic Violence Committee, contributing a total of $319 to support important local services and advocacy work within our region.

Being part of Purple Friday reflects our belief that clubs play an important role beyond their walls. By joining important conversations, showing visible support and backing community services, we can help create safer, more respectful environments where people feel supported and not alone.
