A new bus shelter will protect the youngsters of St John the Evangelist Catholic Primary School from the weather, thanks to Campbelltown Catholic Club.
This has delighted principal Paul Moroney, pictured at right, discussing the plan with the school captains and Catholic Club director David Olsson.
“Sincere thanks to the Club for its generous donation to our school building fund,” Mr Moroney said. “This donation will be used to replace our existing bus shelter which also serves as one of the main entrances to our school. The shelter will provide cover during extreme weather and enhance the appearance of the school at this entry point.”
More than $1 million has been donated to local schools and community groups by ‘the Catho’ – despite all the recent COVID lockdowns and restrictions. That brings its total donations to almost $33 million.
