Campbelltown’s Catholic Club’s annual donations often go to newer schools just starting out in the new estates.

But this year the Catho has also given generous funding to Macarthur’s oldest local school – St Patrick’s Girls College, founded in 1840.

This has delighted principal Sue Lennox. “This sum of money is extraordinary and we feel very blessed to have such a total,” she said. “Thank you to the ongoing support and assistance the Club has always extended to the College.”

Catholic Club director David Olsson is pictured with students and staff during a recent visit to present the cheque.

More than $1 million has been donated to local schools and community groups by ‘the Catho’ – despite all the recent COVID lockdowns and restrictions. That brings its total donations to almost $33 million.
